The Sony Rewards program is congratulating Platinum trophy hunters with credit for the PS Store.

Well. In the US, anyway.

As reported by Kotakuthis new section of the Rewards Passes page shows that players who collect 1000 points – which is amassed by one point per Silver trophy, 10 points per Gold trophy, and 100 per Platinum – can exchange their points for $10 of PSN store credit.

Regrettably, no, this isn’t available outside the US, and no, this won’t work retrospectively, no matter how hard you worked to get ’em. But sign up and link up now, and everything you earn from here on in will count towards the total amount.

It’s also not clear yet if this is a one-off deal, or an on-going perk. We’ve reached out to Sony for comment and will let you know as soon as we hear back.

Short. Sweary. Sarky. Streamer. Spartan. Story-driven games make me happiest. Spectacularly bad at shooters, but loves them. Screams a lot playing horror games, but loves those, too.
