That didn’t take long. Only a couple of days after it was leaked by South Korea’s game rating authority, Okami HD has been officially confirmed for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Okami HD will support up to 4K resolution for PC, Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. But, whether you want to go old-school or just don’t have the hardware, the game will also support more standard widescreen and 4:3 resolutions, like in the original version.

Capcom’s also confirmed the original’s loading screen minigames will also be making a return, after not being present in the 2012 re-release for PS3. Might this be related to Namco’s patent on minigames in loading screens finally expiring back in 2015?

Okami HD will launch in retail and digital on December 12. Digitally it will cost £15.99/€19.99/$19.99, but retail prices might vary.

Joe is LPVG’s resident hardware nerd. If it’s overpriced and has gaudy RGB lighting, he’s probably drooling over it. He loves platformers, MMOs, RPGs, hack ‘n slashers and FPS, with his favourite games being Mirror’s Edge, Left 4 Dead, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Oblivion and Dead Space. Don’t ask him about his unhealthily large Monsters Inc memorabilia collection. Seriously, just don’t ask…
