Bethesda is releasing a demo of Dishonored 2 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

If you’ve yet to commit to the stab-or-stealth action-adventure game (although if our review didn’t convince you, I’m not sure what will), the trial lets you try out the opening three missions in their entirety. You can even choose who to play as: series stalwart Corvo Attano, or new leading lady, Emily Kaldwin.

Best of all, there’s no time restriction, so you can take all the time you like to explore your surroundings… and you really, really should: Karnaca’s an amazing place.

If you’re convinced after your trial, any progress you’ve made will carry over, too.

The demo will be available from Thursday, April 6, 2017.

In the LPVG review, I gave Dishonored 2 a shiny 90/100, stating: “If the original game didn’t float your boat then you’re unlikely to be convinced this time, either, but if you too were seduced by Dunwall’s dankness, there’s much fun to be had here, even if, initially, Karnaca’s sun-bleached stones look as different to Dunwall’s darkness as is possible.

“Turns out Bethesda was right; I really did want to fight and take back what was mine.”

Short. Sweary. Sarky. Streamer. Spartan. Story-driven games make me happiest. Spectacularly bad at shooters, but loves them. Screams a lot playing horror games, but loves those, too.
