Yup, we were right – Bayonetta is coming out on PC. Although when we say coming, we actually mean has come: It’s already available.
For April Fools’ Day, Sega released a free, fully-playable Bayonetta game on Steam, imaginatively entitled 8-Bit Bayonetta. The cute 2D action game even shipped with achievements, and it was those that led fans to a hitherto hidden site on the sega.com website with a counter running down until the 10 or 11 April. We speculated at the time whether or not the teaser game could’ve been a hint that Bayonetta was finally coming to PC, and it seems the rumours were true.
Buy the game before April 25, and you’ll be able to grab the Digitial Deluxe Edition for the same price as the standard edition.
Bayonetta initially released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in 2009, with the sequel exclusive to the Wii U. The PC version offers 60fps, and unlocked HD resolutions.
