Nintendo is releasing a Splatoon 2 playtest for the Nintendo Switch.

The free sample will be available from March 24 and March 26, 2017, across the world, offering six chances to give the hour-long demo a try, which includes four main weapons and a chance to play the same stages available on Nintendo’s UK (read: English) Switch tour in Birmingham, Manchester, and London this month.

Here’s the times in the GMT timezone, so add/subtract for your local variance…

  • 3am GMT, March 25
  • 11am GMT, March 25
  • 7pm GMT, March 25
  • 4am GMT, March 26
  • 12pm GMT, March 26

As yet there’s no confirmed release date, but we’re expecting it sometime this summer/Q2.

Splatoon series producer Hisashi Nogami also confirmed new details of Private Battle Spectator View, a new feature that permits two spectators to watch from multiple angles.

Short. Sweary. Sarky. Streamer. Spartan. Story-driven games make me happiest. Spectacularly bad at shooters, but loves them. Screams a lot playing horror games, but loves those, too.
