Telltale is attributing the issues with the PC version of Batman – The TellTale Series to a problem with the game trying to run integrated graphics even when dedicated is available.

“We are aware that some users have experienced performance issues with Batman – The Telltale Series on Steam when playing on PC,” says the developer in a statement. “Investigations indicate that many of these issues appear to have been due to running the game on integrated graphics cards rather than dedicated, or were the result of out of date drivers.

“Special thanks to those in the community who have already helped others resolve these issues before a patch could go live. We thank you for your patience. We will continue to investigate any performance reports as they appear, and will update here accordingly.”

If you’re experiencing difficulties, a new patch that seeks to default to a dedicated graphics card, as well as an added graphic settings. You’re recommended to opt for Higher Performance if you’re struggling.

In our Batman – The TellTale Series Episode One (which was reviewed on PlayStation 4, thankfully) we said: “A solid start to the series and an excellent re-imagining of Batman, the episode suffers somewhat from Telltale’s usual lack of mechanical depth.”

Short. Sweary. Sarky. Streamer. Spartan. Story-driven games make me happiest. Spectacularly bad at shooters, but loves them. Screams a lot playing horror games, but loves those, too.
