Indie puzzle adventure game Hue is coming to PC, PlayStation 4/PS Vita cross-buy, and Xbox One on August 23.

Winner of awards at industry shin-dig Develop and Game Connection and Casual Connect, the game offers a “unique colour-matching mechanic, offering a new twist on the classic platformer, a heartfelt story that touches on themes of love, loss, existence and remorse, and a world full of lively characters to talk to, each with their own personality and story.”

There’s over 30 original music tracks and “professionally voiced narration” from Anna Acton and Matthew Wade.

“Hue has been almost universally loved whenever we’ve taken it out to shows,” says Dan Da Rocha from developer Fiddlesticks, “so we’re incredibly excited to be finally getting into people’s hands properly. We’ve spent the last couple of years in Hue’s world – it’s going to be brilliant to welcome some more visitors.”

Hue will cost £12/$15/€15. If you’re keen, get in there quickly as launch discounts will apply.

Short. Sweary. Sarky. Streamer. Spartan. Story-driven games make me happiest. Spectacularly bad at shooters, but loves them. Screams a lot playing horror games, but loves those, too.
