First the time in its 34-year history, Golden Joystick tickets are going on sale to the public.

The Golden Joystick Awards is one of the world’s oldest video game award event, and the only one that is voted for by the public. Over 9 million votes helped us rank last year’s offerings, which culminated in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt receiving the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year Award.

Declan Gough, Future’s Head of Content and Marketing for Games said: “The Golden Joystick Awards have become the biggest gaming awards ceremony in the world because they are about what the gaming community think.

“We have been working in the past couple of years to brings the community more into the awards with live feeds on Twitch, and we are delighted that this year we are able to actually invite them to experience the ceremony first hand.”

The awards are set to take place at indigO2 at The O2, London, on November 18, 2016. To secure tickets – which are available from August 1 and will cost £10 – head on over to the official website.

Short. Sweary. Sarky. Streamer. Spartan. Story-driven games make me happiest. Spectacularly bad at shooters, but loves them. Screams a lot playing horror games, but loves those, too.
