Even though it’s been out in arcades since seemingly the dawn of humankind,  Bandai Namco is still introducing new characters to Tekken 7 ahead of its console release next year.

Returning from Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is Bob, the big and fast karate master whose new outfit is absolutely awesome. The shirt, the jewelry, the trousers, the shirt. Seriously, where can I buy that shirt? I need that shirt.

Introduced in TEKKEN 6, Bob is an American fighter that practices Freestyle Karate as his chosen fighting style. Possessing great strength, uncanny speed, and a wide range of attacks, Bob is one of the most well rounded fighters in the TEKKEN series.

The second character is a brand new one making their debut in Tekken 7, Master Raven. She is the higher-ranked ninja boss of series staple Raven (hence the “Master”), and mechanically she looks very similar to Soul Calibur’s Taki. Not entirely sure about the Raiden-style faceplates, though.

The original Raven made his debut in TEKKEN 5 with origins that are still murky today. Now Master Raven enters the fight in TEKKEN 7, executing her ninjutsu fighting skills with exceptional power and precision. Master Raven has no problem tearing her opponents apart in The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

It’s great to see Bob return (and that god damn shirt), and Master Raven looks like a fun addition to the series. We’ll get our hands on them when Tekken 7 launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC (a first for Tekken!) in 2017.

Joe is LPVG’s resident hardware nerd. If it’s overpriced and has gaudy RGB lighting, he’s probably drooling over it. He loves platformers, MMOs, RPGs, hack ‘n slashers and FPS, with his favourite games being Mirror’s Edge, Left 4 Dead, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Oblivion and Dead Space. Don’t ask him about his unhealthily large Monsters Inc memorabilia collection. Seriously, just don’t ask…
